Every day, we make choices. Choices about what to wear, what to eat, where to go and what to do. Sometimes the choices are clear cut and easy to make. Other times they are muddled in a sea of gray.

In marketing and advertising, there are copious options for quick, easy and even good-looking solutions. Just think about all the logos-by-tomorrow/$500 website options there are out there. Unfortunately, what we’ve all come to learn at one point or another is that “quick and cheap” is not always the best option. While they may sound good in theory, they often lead clients to other challenges.

While you might spend more when you partner with an agency, you’ll get more. More of what you want, and more of what you need. Let me explain.

Agency people love and understand your brand and your business as much, if not more, than you do. That’s because they are invested in your success. Strategic thinking involves outlining target audiences, determining goals for your business and defining and executing the steps necessary to reach them. If you’re not getting that from another resource, you have to wonder how effectively they’re spending your money—even if it’s a small amount.
